Mia eats, sleeps, and dreams dogs, and she is absolutely thrilled to be on Team Prairie Path! For the past six months, she has been managing Swooft with enthusiasm and dedication. Mia's background is steeped in all things dog and cat related. Her journey began in 2014 when she started volunteering at a rescue non-profit in Chicago. What began as a heartfelt volunteer endeavor blossomed into a six-year career at the rescue. Following this, Mia took her passion and expertise to a shelter in Oak Park, where she served as Shelter Manager for almost three years.
Throughout her career, Mia has absorbed a wealth of experience with a diverse array of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and other small animals. She has fond memories of her favorite experiences in the shelter and rescue world: spending quality time with the animals most in need and playing a pivotal role in helping them find new, loving forever homes.
Mia is a proud resident of Chicago, where she shares her life with her two beloved dogs: Jeff, a rescue from her previous shelter, and Coco Louise, who features prominently in her photo. Mia believes that every day is brighter and better with a pet in it and can’t imagine life without her furry companions. She is delighted to spread this joy and love through her work with Swooft and Prairie Path Pet Care, bringing her passion and dedication to every pet and pet parent she meets.

Alyssa has been an animal lover since day one! When she’s not assisting with Prairie Path, Alyssa is dedicating her time in the holistic health field and automotive community. During her free time, Alyssa loves cooking, traveling, going on long walks with her own Shorkie and reading!

We get it! We want to meet them before they start working for us too. That is why each walker goes through an extensive interview process, background check and on-the-job training before taking on a dedicated route.
Before service begins you'll be able to meet a manager and your dedicated walker at your free Meet & Greet. Even more, our scheduling software provides profiles on each of our team members so you can get to know everyone on our walking team!
